The Second Grade Team at Brookside have been working hard in iMovie creating book trailers for books they have read and dinosaur trailers for the dinosaur reports they worked so hard on! Below is a sampling of dinosaur trailers and book trailers from the second graders!

iMovie Trailers are a great way to summarize and synthesize information from reports and stories read in class. They help with reading comprehension and are fun! First, the students must complete a paper (yes, I said paper) storyboard with a theme that matches their story or report topic. Once the storyboards are completed they input the information into iMovie using the iPads and take pictures that match their sentences. The final step is editing photos and making their sentences/taglines more snazzy! 

Brookside third grade students are expanding their knowledge and work in Google Drive by learning how to write collaboratively and create Google Presentations using the Slides app. Remember, some of these are works in progress, so not all edits have been done!
